Over the weekend, I had to take care of some work issues that lead me to work on Sunday until about 1. Typically, if I work on the weekends, I want to get in and out as quick as possible so that I can enjoy what I have left of my free time, and I didn’t grab anything before I went in. So basically, I was starving.
Until my friend sent me a brunch text… mmmm bacon.
Have you been to Mo’s in North Hollywood for brunch? If not, then you are missing out. For my friends on the east coast, this is not the “Welcome to Moe’s!” burrito place, this is a sit down restaurant in the Big Boy Plaza in NoHo.
I don’t think there was a benedict on the menu that I have not met at one point or another… I love me a good benedict, but on this day, I got a traditional. But the star of the show, was the “table hash.” It was a tough choice, between the brisket and the tamale hash, but this time, we went tamale..and it didn’t disappoint. I am a big fan of dead animal, but this was of great compliment to my benedict. My friends thought the same, because it didn’t last long on the table. I would have loved to try the brisket hash, but I will leave that for next time.
You know you are having a good meal when the only sounds to be heard from your table are forks hitting plates and grunts coming from your friends… and there was the occasional “Yes please” when the waitress came around to fill our glasses with more champagne.
