I am a Jersey boy, born and raised, came from a small town with one stop light, about 3000 people, where our entire commercial tax base was one restaurant, a laundromat, travel agency, bank, and a barber. The closet market was nothing like the supermarkets we have today. When did supermarkets and restaurants have kids? Because this is an awesome idea. Enter Whole Foods in Pasadena.
Pardon me if sound like a wide eye kid who just discovered candy for the first time, but I like this concept. On the bottom floor is all of your groceries, and then on the top floor, is all of the liquor and a restaurant. I got to go this past Thursday, granted, it was my second time, but I sat at the bar,had a nice cheese plate and ribs. Besides watching people shop over your dinner, it felt like any other restaurant. And if you get a chance, go on Thursdays, I do enjoy the boar ribs. If they had one of these by where I lived in Hollywood, I don’t think I would ever cook again.
